She was awarded an International Traveling Fellowship, which she utilized to visit leading centers in the USA, including the Transformation Center in Wisconsin and Manhattan Hospital in New York. Dr. Shankar completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery in Barcelona, Spain, and pursued specialized training in Craniofacial and Microsurgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.
